Let me introduce myself.
I am a Piano Tutor and Musical Coach, an acclaimed former concert pianist, and a student of the legendary pedagogue, composer and pianist Peter Feuchtwanger, with whom I studied from 1992 until the early 2000’s.
Since 1983 I have built up a highly respected practice in Hertfordshire, UK, teaching Piano, Music Theory and Aural Training, together with providing Piano Accompaniment for instrumental Graded Exams, Auditions and Festival Performances.
Upon becoming a proud grandfather three years ago, a restructuring of my formerly very busy teaching schedule was needed. With my practice now operating on a reduced scale, I now invite only carefully selected students in the following fields of Classical Piano Study.
*I have vacancies from September 2023 onwards for a very small number of gifted students of at least Grade 5 level, up to Grade 8 or ARSM Diploma. Lessons would be taken weekly on the basis of pre-booked, pre-paid terms of ten lessons, and would be of thirty, forty-five or sixty minutes subject to level and prior consultation.
*I have vacancies immediately for a small number of advanced ad hoc students of post-Grade 8/ARSM/DipABRSM level, either adolescent or adult, student, semi-professional or professional. Lessons would be taken at intervals of two to four weeks.
*Lessons are taken at my home address in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, UK or (potentially though this is far from ideal) remotely via Zoom in the case of distant or overseas students.
